Pre-tensioned Springs Explained
The idea is simple, yet its impact is significant: extension springs are pre-tensioned and mounted into the vertical angle, streamlining the installation process of a HOME-X residential door, saving both time and effort.

Single-person installation
Our HOME-X residential door system is suitable for doors up to 130 kgs. When pre-tensioned, only 10-15% of the complete door leaf weight has to be lifted, resulting in the possibility to install the door by a single person. This is a unique feature compared to other pre-tensioned solutions in the market.
How does it work?

Place Your Order with our configurator
Use our online door configurator to order your HOME-X door system with pre-tensioned springs, available up to 3000 mm high. -
Pre-tensioning
Once your order is placed, we use our specially designed workbench to pre-tension the springs to 85-90%. -
Flatbed packaging and delivery
The extension springs and all necessary hardware are securely packed in our flatbed packaging, ensuring safe transportation and easy on-site handling. -
Quick, Single-person installation
With our pre-tensioned springs, only 10-15% of the door’s weight needs to be lifted during installation. The built-in cable unhooking mechanism is activated when placing the top panel, making the entire process quick and easy for just one person.
Tensioning Workbench (900124)
At DOCO, we use a high-end workbench to pre-tension the springs up to 85-90% to minimize the physical effort installing the door.
A version of this workbench can also be ordered in our webshop if you prefer to pre-tension the springs in your own facility. Whether the pre-tensioning occurs in our assembly center or if you choose to pre-tension the springs in your own facility, the end result remains unchanged.
